Fuel poverty strategy

Budget/target/comment

Targets:

  • As far as reasonably practicable, the majority of households living in social sector housing removed from fuel poverty by 2010.
  • As far as reasonably practicable, no household in Britain should be living in fuel poverty by 2016-18.
  • Substantially increase the number of vulnerable private-sector households living in decent homes by 2010.

Budget of £620 million over the period 2005/06 to 2007/08 (including the £140 million for Warm Front).
