Low income rate by threshold

All the low-income thresholds used below related to contemporary, national, median household income before deducting housing costs. All household incomes are after taxes have been deducted and after adjustment (‘equivalisation’) for household size and composition, but before housing costs have been deducted.
These levels of income are referred to here as ‘poverty lines’ as that is the term used for it by the EU.
